Majority of executives used to have a comfortable life at home and are seated in the office during the office hours. Some has the habit of working late in the evenings because their services are insisted by the politicians who used to take rest in the afternoons and start work after 6.00PM.

The reason for busy executives need these simple health instructions for them to maintain a healthy life.

The busy executives should following pattern of living.

Frequent tests for blood(fasting Blood Sugar) at least every three months.

Lipid profile to test for FAT and cholesterol

Test urine for full reports.

If the result of above tests are satisfactory then OK. If the tests are in margins of the in dices , then better to consult a physician for advise. He may, sometimes ask for more reports or just say OK. Sometimes physician used to prescribe some drugs, better inquire for why drugs and what for. Some physicians just give their favorite drugs. You have to be careful, in taking them, if they do not elaborate why?

The Ceylon Electricity Board

The Ceylon Electricity Board which has been in operation in all the other areas except some local bodies like Kandy, Galle, Batticaloa etc manipulating its crawl until ADB funded project to take over all local bodies. This was a good move by the CEB but ultimately they did not achieve the targets.

The only achievement was the fear of formation of further LECOs like KICO for Kandy.

The electricity distribution in Sri Lanka turned into new dimensions with the formation of LECO which was managed by former CEB GM and others. They introduced lot of new techniques like

ABC Cables(Aerial Bundled Cables)

PS Poles 11m,13m (Pre Stressed Poles) up to 1200kG

Single pole substations

New 11kV distribution system with AAC conductors replacing old ACSR 7/1.02

New Service connection type

New billing system(instant) and collection of bills within 14 days of issue.

Introduction of Photo cells to street lamps

High Control over the fixing of street lamps

and many more

The reaction of the CEB was very high for the new methodolodies adapted by LECO and slowly CEB adapted very same thing without any modifications.

Electricity in Sri lanka

The electrical system in sri lanka is in the hands of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB)and the Lanka Electricity Co.(Pvt) Ltd(LECO), a government owned company formulated in late eighties. The DGEU which controlled the electrical industry vested in the CEB in 1969 by an act of Parliment. The LECO formed to look after electrical industry of the Local Bodies who could not maintain, develop and operate it properly due to politics.

The industry in the coastal belt of western province and southern province from Negombo to Galle was initially vested in the LECO with all the Local Bodies contained therein.
